The Netherlands agreed with Frug I Com and the SMART HORTICULTURE ASIA event to support this unique forum in Asia during the Asia Fruit Logistica on 8th September in Hong Kong.
Nynke Runia, Agricultural Counsellor, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands: “The Dutch Horticulture Industry is working on the impact, and opportunities, of Industry 4.0 , also called SMART Industry, on the use of disruptive technologies in Horticulture. Hereby it’s essential to connect market, growers and traders, and (high)tech companies in knowledge exchange and innovation.”.
H. van Luijk, Chairman, Frug I Com : “It’s essential for an international supply chain like fresh produce to organise the digital information exchange effectively within companies, supply chains and markets. Therefore, at Frug I Com, we work on the essential task of information standardization. We are glad with the support of The Netherlands in sharing our knowledge with the Asian Market. Hereby we hope to take the next step in optimizing the ‘information-chain’ in fresh supply towards Asia.”
